Affiliates

The following groups work with Richfield Heritage Preserve to keep the park running smoothly and looking beautiful.

Buckeye Trail Association

​

The Buckeye Trail Association is a large, strong body of volunteers who maintain and promote the Buckeye Trail, including the sections within the park.

 
Cuyahoga Valley Career Center

​

Cuyahoga Valley Career Center was instrumental
in the 2018 renovation of the park office, which is located at the Broadview Road entrance of Richfield Heritage Preserve.

 


Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve

Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve is a nonprofit organization fundraising resource to assist in providing funds for projects that are beyond the reach of RJRD's appropriated dollars.  The Friends organization has a specific programmatic focus holding special donor recognition events, raising money for specific purposes, and providing volunteers for certain events and programs.  




Ohio Horseman’s Council

 

The Ohio Horseman's Council - Summit County Chapter helps fund
and maintain multi-use equine trails and buildings throughout the park.
 

 

Ohio Operating Engineers

 

Ohio Operating Engineers and its apprentice training program provides
operators and heavy machinery needed for earth moving, slope work,
grading and trenching within Richfield Heritage Preserve.

Oviatt House Incorporated

​

Oviatt House Incorporated is the nonprofit organization responsible for the
restoration and preservation of Oviatt House, located at the park’s Oviatt Road entrance.

​Western Reserve Land Conservancy

​

Western Reserve Land Conservancy provided guidance and support during
the park’s creation and continues to help the RJRD explore additional public
funding sources and potential uses for the property.
