RJRD
The Richfield Joint Recreation District (RJRD) was formed by the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township for the purpose of purchasing the park property. The RJRD operates as an entity separate from the village and the township.
Its mission is to safeguard, support and maintain the natural properties of Richfield while encouraging recreational and educational opportunities in our community.
The RJRD Board of Trustees is the governing body for the Richfield Heritage Preserve. The RJRD Board of Trustees is composed of seven members. The Richfield Village Council and the Richfield Township Trustees each appoint three board members to represent the two entities. These six board members then elect a seventh board member. Each board member serves a three-year term, subject to reappointment. The park has four part time employees that include a Park Director, an Administrative Assistant, a Volunteer Coordinator,
and a Maintenance Technician.
